The Q Active speakers excel in versatility, design and sound quality. Each Q Active system supports Bluetooth 4.1, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and UPnP. The Q Active's are also Roon Ready. The hub comes in two types, Google "Chromecast built-in" or Amazon "Works with Alexa" enabled.

The Q Active's will support your streaming service's native app, so you will have a simple, straightforward way access to a virtually unlimited music collection. Q Active supports Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Spotify and Tidal. Available as a'Chromecast Built-In' OR'Works with Alexa' hub, the Q Active's hub is at the heart of the system supporting physical formats and converting them into high resolutions 24bit/96kHz digital file. The hub will then stream the high-resolution audio file to the speakers, therefore, any format you want to listen to can be dealt with wirelessly by your Q Active system.

Irrespective of whether you choose Google "Chromecast built-in", Amazon "Works with Alexa" Multiroom Music, Apple Airplay2 or Roon to organise your multiroom music system, Q Active can be easily integrated with it. If you have Google Home, Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri smart speakers on your home network, the hub will be easy to control the volume and playback of the Q Active's, you just choose which of the formats you would prefer.

The control hub is available here with Google'Chromecast Built-In' which can be used with Apple Siri, and then use these mic-equipped smart devices on your network to control your Q Active system. You can also use the Google Home, Alexa app on your mobile to control the Q Active system. If you have a TV connected into the HDMI ARC socket on the control hub, it is CEC-equipped, so you can use the TV's remote control to control the'volume' and'standby'. Alternatively you use the cabinet mounted volume control on each Q Active speaker.

Sound Audio can be described as'high resolution' if it has a digital audio format of greater than the CD-standard (16bit/44.1kHz). The Q Active's supports wireless streaming with a maximum resolution of 32bit/192kHz, whether from its control hub or from a smartphone or tablet.

Therefore any source plugged into the hub will be converted to a 24bit/96kHz digital format before it is streamed to the Q Active speakers, and any high-resolution music streaming service can be streamed at this resolution too. The end result of the design is extraordinary musical accuracy and with top class audio quality. So the Q Active's have a audio performance way beyond its price point. These speakers have six discrete amplifiers, with a total of 280 watts of power to drive the Q Active system so each individual speaker driver receives its own regulated power. Consequently, the Q Active is able to control each driver with accuracy and finesse which means Q Active's sound much larger and more precise than you would think possible.

The rear of a regular loudspeaker is not usually very interesting. However, Q Active is far from a regular loudspeaker. The Q Active 200's have a rear-firing 114mm / (4.5in) subwoofer delivering fast, deep and an organised bass response.

Dart' bracing has been used with these speakers to ensure the stiffness to the cabinet and equally helps the mechanical stability to the rear-firing subwoofer units. Q Actives can be positioned with the BMRs either on the inside or the outside of the cabinets, allowing perfect audio reproduction irresective you are sitting close to the speakers or far from them.

There is a switch on the back of each Q Active speaker to choose it as either the left or the right-hand speaker. A second switch allows you to tell the speaker exactly where it is located in the room, i. E close to a rear wall, in a corner, or out in free space.
