It is known that traditional analogue amplifiers sound much superior to lower-cost digital amplifiers found in many mass-produced speakers. Therefore, Audioengine speakers utilise a Dual class AB monolithic that is positioned in the left speaker. The components of the speakers are tuned together for each model, which gives an efficient system that needs less power than passive speakers and separate amplifiers.

The A5+ utilises wireless Bluetooth aptX technology for instant playback of all your favourite music, apps and devices. Also, the A5+ is backwards-compatible with SBC and AAC so you can wirelessly stream music from any Bluetooth-enabled device. By designing careful signal control circuitry and antenna tuning, the A5+ has up to 3 times the range of standard Bluetooth for multi-room without degrading audio quality. Built with top-class components such as aramid fibre woofers, silk tweeters, Bluetooth aptX and integrated power amplifiers all within a precision-tuned, hand-built cabinet. Therefore these speakers hold a lot more sound than is perceived by the listener, delivering clean, wholesome and powerful sound, perfectly suited for medium-sized rooms.

The bass port with tubes have been designed in such a way to produce great low frequencies, with minimal audible air turbulence. The tube port design enables these speakers to be used with or without a subwoofer. Plus, no enhancement circuits have been used, meaning that you hear only the genuine low and clean bass components. Audioengine loudspeakers are not "box built" with off-the-shelf parts, they are custom-designed with tweeters, woofers and other critical components designed and manufactured in-house. The Cabinets, drivers, bass port designs, amplifiers and crossovers are meticulously tuned together to give you a more efficient system that requires less power than passive speakers with an isolated integrated amplifier.

The A5+ contain audiophile-level silk dome tweeters that are ferrofluid-cooled and incorporate neodymium magnets making them durable under high power offering an ultra-smooth response. The woofers are woven glass composite with rubber surrounds and are constructed from aramid fibre, a robust material that preserves the woofer's shape when driven at high levels. Plus, the video shielding allows for placing the speaker's inches of a video monitor and shields HDD digital music players.

Setting up the A5+ Wireless Speakers is very easy, you can connect them to your smartphone, turntable, TV, network player or another audio source. Simply plug your source right into the inputs on the left speakers' rear panel via the supplied cables or connect through Bluetooth. There is no need for network setup, passwords or pushing buttons.
